PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The SICSA Pet Adoption & Wellness Center is a non-profit pet adoption center and animal shelter. The Veterinary clinic services the rescued cats and dogs as well as the public encompassing approximately 4,000 spay and neuters per year. The pet adoption area has the ability to service and house approximately 60 dogs and 50 cats at one time. There is 8,000 sf of outdoor turfed exercise / play yard / kennel area for dogs. The cats have six individual, fully screened (500 sf) enclosures for outdoor exercise as well as six play area rooms adjacent affording cats the opportunity to go in and out as they please through cat doors. The building also has an internal isolation area / satellite clinic for the intake of, and treatment of dogs and cats to separate them from the adoptable, healthy pets. The HVAC systems at SICSA (six in total) were individually designed to service each area in terms of use. For example, the isolation area has its own system to prevent cross contamination / disease control. All services provided by SICSA Pet Adoption & Wellness Center are strictly funded by donations and volunteers.
